Privacy Policy

Effective as of August 27, 2026

ABC Money Exchange, Inc. ("ABC", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through myabcmoney.com and our app, how we use it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

1. Who and what this covers

This policy applies to information we collect through our website and app. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, nor to information you provide directly at a branch counter, which is governed by the notices you receive there. ABC Money Exchange, Inc. is responsible for the information described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the service needs to work. Specifically:

  • Account information: your name, email address and phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google; we never receive or store your Google password.
  • Your Bajaxe customer number, entered by our staff at a branch when your account is linked.
  • Service activity: rates you lock, codes issued, redemptions at a branch, loyalty tier, and referral codes used.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected automatically to operate and protect the service.
  • Site usage data through Google Analytics, and ONLY if you allow analytics: pages viewed, time on site, and where you arrived from. If you decline, none of this is collected.
  • Communications: the contents of messages you send us through the site's forms or by email, including job applications and any files you attach.

3. How we use it

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To create and maintain your account and verify your identity when you sign in.
  • To issue, validate and redeem your rate locks at any of our branches.
  • To operate our loyalty, visit rewards and referral programs.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse of the service, and to protect the security of our systems and our branches.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations as a money services business.
  • To answer your inquiries and, where applicable, follow up on a job application.

4. We do not sell your information

We do not sell or share your personal information for money or other valuable consideration, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their targeted advertising. We also do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only in these circumstances:

  • With service providers acting on our behalf — hosting, authentication, maps, email — and only with what they need to provide that service to us.
  • With competent authorities, where required by law or in response to a valid legal request.
  • Where necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, or to investigate fraud.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with prior notice to you if your information would become subject to a different privacy policy.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet our legal, accounting and recordkeeping obligations applicable to money services businesses, as well as to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.

7. How we protect it

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information: encryption in transit, role-based access control within our internal console, and an audit log of sensitive operations. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

8. Your rights, including California residents' rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to exercise any of these rights on your behalf. California residents have them as a matter of law:

  • To know what categories of personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, and what we use it for.
  • To access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • To request correction of inaccurate information.
  • To request deletion of your personal information, subject to the exceptions the law allows — chiefly records we are required to retain.
  • Not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use two kinds of cookies. STRICTLY NECESSARY ones keep you signed in and remember your language and display preferences; without them you could not sign in or lock a rate, which is why they always work. ANALYTICS cookies tell us which pages get visited, and they stay off until you allow them in the notice shown when you arrive: if you decline, none are set. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell browsing data to third parties.

10. Analytics and how to change your mind

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get visited and how to improve the site. We do not use it for advertising or to build advertising profiles, and advertising signals features are turned off. Until you accept, Google receives only an aggregate count with no cookies and no identifiers. You can change your decision at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser: you will be asked again on your next visit. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it automatically and analytics stays off without you having to do anything.

11. Third-party services

We rely on third-party services that process data on our behalf: an authentication provider for Google sign-in, Google Analytics for site measurement when you allow it, a maps provider to show our branch locations, and Google Fonts for the site's typefaces. When the page loads, your browser requests those typefaces from Google's servers, which receive your IP address; no cookie is set for this. These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies. By using Google sign-in, you also accept Google's terms with respect to that feature.

12. Children's privacy

The service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we do, we will update the effective date shown at the top. If the change is material, we will notify you by a reasonable means before it takes effect.

14. How to contact us

To exercise any of your rights, or for any question about this policy, email us at info@abcmoneysd.com or call (619) 621-6670. You may also visit any of our branches. We respond to rights requests within the timeframes required by applicable law, and we may ask you to verify your identity before we act on them.

This document covers the ABC Money Exchange website and app. Transactions you complete at a branch counter are also governed by the regulations applicable to money services businesses and by the notices provided to you at the time of the transaction.
